A very warm welcome to our new production manager, Andy Leech. He will be responsible for ensuring the adequate supply of raw materials and supplies to meet stock requirements and customer orders. He will manage the production and facilities across our three sites and will ensure all operations run efficiently to meet customer and supplier deadlines and requirements. He will oversee the packing and blending operations as well as provide advice on process improvements and health and safety.
He brings over ten years of industry experience in production planning and management, data analysis, health and safety, and management of stakeholders.
Andy says: “I’m delighted to be joining the EHL Ingredients team and I’m eager to get stuck into the role. It has a strong team in place with some really talented individuals across the whole business and has a fantastic reputation in the food industry. I was attracted to the role as the business offers a fantastic range of food ingredients and blends, a reliable and efficient service, has a strong management board and a long-standing team, and a growing customer base. All this demonstrates it’s a company that is in growth and expansion and I look forward to sharing my experience with the team to help drive the company forward.”
Tasneem Alonzo, our joint managing director, says “Andy joins us at an exciting time – we’ve taken on lots of new customers in the last few months, and as times have changed, so have companies’ requirements. This means we have to be agile while remaining efficient to ensure we can process and plan for customer orders effectively and promptly. Andy’s skills and expertise will be a huge asset to us to ensure we continue to deliver high quality products and an excellent service. He will strengthen our management structure, lead the production team, and play a vital role in our growth and overall offering.”
“Our Lähde brand is performing well and we’re keen to work with more food manufacturers, retailers, brands and foodservice venues to offer bespoke blends and seasonings. Our herbs and spices go into prepared foods, BBQ products, plant-based foods, fish dishes, curries, sauces, and pies, pasties and sweet and savoury baked products and we’re confident we’ll have a bumper 2023 as global foods and flavours are booming among British consumers.”
